  • How soon will you get back to me?

All inquiries will be answered within 24 hours.

  • What is the turnaround time on a document?

We suggest that our clients give themselves four to six days turnaround on a document that is less than 10,000 words, and six to ten days on a document that is greater than 10,000 words. This allows for line notes and a second set of eyes if requested. ESL documents are not included in this assessment.

  • What is a proofreading by a second set of eyes?

Many clients decide to have their documents proofread with a second set of eyes. We are able to offer this service on your document once you have accepted the first edited copy. This option costs an additional $0.03 per word. 

  • What is the difference between proofreading and editing?

Proofreading is a final review of your work to eliminate errors. We will correct spelling, language usage, and grammar. Editing combines proofreading with revision to enhance the clarity and efficiency of the document.

  • How do you charge for your services?

We compute your fee by the total number of WORDS on a page. If a document is in need of major corrections, a premium will be added if additional time is needed to edit the document. You will be contacted via email or phone to discuss this issue if your document falls into this catagory. See  our Get a Quote section for the fee schedule.

Workshop and instruction fees are calculated by the job. We look at the number of days in the workshop, the amount of time it takes to create your workshop, the specific topics covered and travel costs.

  • How do I pay for your service?

We accept PayPal (payments go to yanover@thewriteworkshop.c), but if this is not an option, money orders may be accepted. All of our rates are in Canadian dollars. We DO NOT return your corrected document until all fees have been received.a

  • How do I hire The WRITE Workshop?

Once payment has been received, the document will be returned to you in MS Word format.

  • By using your services, do you guarantee I will receive a passing or honours grade?  

No.  All teachers, professors and committees have different expectations. By using our services, we can help to enhance the quality of your writing through suggestions in basic writing skills and style (see the Academic Copy Writing section).  We will also provide you with some resources to help you make your corrections.
